To lose weight, shift your food focus!

April 8, 2013

Hello hello!

Thanks for stopping by! Are you currently following a “diet” plan that allows for a certain number of calories per day? Gets pretty tiring, right? Although it is important to know and understand how many calories you need per day to maintain your weight or to lose weight, if you shift your focus on the quality of the foods you’re eating versus always thinking about the number of calories in a certain food, you won’t have to worry so much about how many calories you’re consuming. How is this possible?

When you’re eating healthful, high fiber, high nutrient, unprocessed foods, most of the time, they naturally contain less calories than processed foods that don’t contain a lot of nutrients. Sure that Snackwell’s cookie (remember those?) may contain only 100 calories, but you probably won’t feel satisfied after one or two, thus creating the desire for more and more (and then the whole box is gone)! Not to mention, who knows what is on that ingredient list! Your body thrives on wholesome, natural foods, not processed foods. This is my opinion but it certainly works for me! Try it and see what happens!

Best,
Jeannette
