RIP Jack
It’s no secret that I love Jack Lalanne. Not because he was the Father of Fitness or because he performed amazing athletic feats in his day, but because of his passion for life and his work. I enjoyed watching his videos and feeling his infectious love for spreading his word about health and fitness. He was a magnetic character who truly lived what he preached. His life span, vitality, and energy proves it. He was exercising daily into his 90’s! Wow!
His passion for his life’s work is so amazing-how many people have that type of love for what they do? That is truly something to aspire to. Even if you can’t quit you current job, finding a passion or hobby is essential to a healthy, creative life, in my opinion.
Jack, you are one great man. Thank you for everything!
With Love,
Jeannette
How to prepare a “green drink”
Hello and Happy Holidays!
The holidays are usually filled with parties, dinners, and extra indulgences everywhere. Take a break from all the madness and spend a minute or two preparing something wonderful for your body. Forgo spending the 5-6 bucks you’d pay at a health food store and prepare you own green drink easily at home with just a blender and a strainer. I’ve tried a juicer and I just find it extremely messy and time-consuming to use (if you have that kind of time, go ahead). 🙂 To prepare a green drink at home, all you will need is a blender, a handful or more of any fresh “green leaves”, and a strainer (unless you like the crunchy texture of blended greens).
A few good quotes about health
I recently came across some great quotes that I thought you might enjoy! Something to think about, for sure.
“We can either choose to take time to be healthy or we will be forced to take time to be sick”
“It costs more in time and means to regain your health than to maintain your health”
“If you lose your health, nothing else that you have worked to gain in this life will matter”
“The investment of your time and means to regain and maintain your health and the health of your family is the best investment of the time and means of your life”
Enjoy!
