HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
Hello and Happy New Year!
I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season and are having a great start to 09. I am popping in to let you know that I want each and every one of you to achieve your goals this year and I want to assist you in any way that I can!
Is this going to be the year that you achieve the goals that you have set for yourself (I hope so!)? Or are you going to make excuses and push back your progress another week, month or year? Please don’t wait any longer-I urge you to stay committed and go for what you want. Give yourself the greatest gift that one could possibly give themselves-the gift of good health and an energetic body! 😀
Drop me a line if you have any questions or if you want to discuss something. I look forward to helping you all out to the best of my ability!
Cheers!
Jeannette
How’s your holiday season going?
Hello!
I just wanted to check in and see how everyone was doing this month. I know it’s a tough time of year to stay away from all the goodies and evils lurking around at parties or in the office.
Well, indulge here and there, have fun, but once the holidays are over, once again, it’ll be time to think about your goals and what you want to achieve in ’09. If you set goals (and I’m not just talking fitness related) for yourself in ’08 and haven’t quite reached them, what is keeping you from doing so?
Take a moment to think about that question. Lack of preparation? Lack of time? Lack of care? Desire? Motivation? Laziness? Education?
Boot Camp Workouts Enhance Aerobic Capacity
All the more reason to join my upcoming boot camp in 09! :o)
According to a study released the the American Councjavascript:void(0)il on Exercise, a typical boot camp style workout enhances aerobic capacity and promotes significant calorie burning while also improving muscle fitness. Woohoo! This study was tested on men and women between 19-29 (I know, a young group, but I’m sure the same applies to everyone). The average exerciser burned 9.8 calories per minute during a typical boot camp style workout, the study concluded, which totals to about 400 calories during a 40 minute session.
My New Year boot camp class will once again be two hours long, so make sure to sign up and tell your friends about it, too! More details to come soon!
Hope you are having a joyous holiday season!
XO

Book recommendation
Hello Everybody!
I just finished an amazing book called “You are what you eat” by Dr. Gillian McKeith. I recommend this book to anyone who is interested in improving health through natural sources such as food and supplements.
I love this book! The author talks about her previous struggle with poor eating habits until she discovered the impact that diet would have on her well-being and health. The book covers various topics such as why diets don’t work, foods we should be eating on a regular basis, bad foods, food rotation, body signs (health assessment and what to do/eat/supplement with to fix the problem-this is my favorite section), detoxing, exercise, juicing, skin and body care, superfoods, sprouting, meal planning, etc. etc!
I am constantly trying to learn as much as I can about improving the state of health and wellness through nutrition and a better lifestyle. I feel that they both go hand in hand.
